Cesar L. Avila Selected as a C.A.B.A. Leadership, Education, And, Development (L.E.A.D.) Program Class II Fellow

Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is pleased to announce that Cesar L. Avila has been named a Cuban American Bar Association’s (CABA) fellow for Class II of its leadership training program, Leadership, Education, And, Development (L.E.A.D.). Designed to provide CABA fellows with the knowledge, skills, and tools to be effective leaders within CABA, The Florida Bar, and their communities, this program’s goal is to encourage members to use their leadership skills to make a positive impact in the community.

Cesar will be joined by a diverse group of professionals, from both the public and private sectors, ranging from large corporations to small law firms, representing various practice areas, backgrounds, and regions within the state. According to CABA, this class is united by a dedication to increasing awareness and encouraging involvement among legal practitioners. With Cesar’s active participation in the program’s four training sessions scheduled through the fall of 2024, he will grow and develop professionally. Bilzin Sumberg hosted the first Class II Fellow L.E.A.D Program training at its Miami office. 

Cesar is a construction attorney counseling clients on the negotiation and preparation of construction agreements, professional design agreements, and developer agreements, and assists clients with project administration to identify and achieve early resolution of potential disputes. As part of the Construction Law and Litigation Group, Cesar has represented owners and developers on a wide variety of construction matters from contract negotiations through post-completion issues and dispute resolution.

Founded in 1974, CABA is one of the largest bar associations in the state of Florida. Its membership is comprised of lawyers and law students from various backgrounds whose interests include not only those affecting the Cuban community, but human and legal rights issues impacting minority communities.
