Q & A
How has your time with the Office of the Appellate Defender shaped your current practice?
My role at the Office of the Appellate Defender saw me regularly advocating high stakes, high pressure cases. This sophisticated, high-intensity work honed my skills as they relate to both broad litigation strategies and procedural issues in the courtroom. I bring those skills to the matters I am currently involved in at Bilzin Sumberg, which has a robust appellate practice known for taking on complex cases with regional and national impacts.
What drew you to Bilzin Sumberg’s trial and litigation practice?
When I relocated to South Florida from New York City, the country’s ‘capital’ for Big Law litigation, there were few firms based in the region that I felt regularly took on the high-stakes, bet-the-company disputes that I was accustomed to handling. Bilzin Sumberg’s Trial & Litigation Group is top-of-the-line in this regard. From business disputes and financial services litigation to antitrust cases and class actions, the firm is a leader in the kinds of challenging cases that I enjoy resolving for clients.
