Bilzin Sumberg is seeking a mid-level associate to junior partner level attorney for our corporate practice.  Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years of experience with M&A transactions, corporate governance, and general corporate experience, including drafting and negotiating complex commercial transaction documentation.  Additional experience in joint venture transactions, and in venture capital and private equity, will be favorably considered.  Candidates will be provided with the opportunity to handle the day-to-day needs of clients and actively manage client relationships.  Candidates must possess strong academic credentials.  Major law firm experience preferred.

Records Clerk

Bilzin Sumberg is seeking a Records Clerk. The ideal candidate must be well-organized, have the ability to multi-task, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be self-motivated, and able to coordinate and function well in a team setting. The position also entails closely communicating with attorneys and other administrative departments within the firm. Prior filing experience at a law firm is preferred.  FileTrail experience is a plus.

Overview of Responsibilities:

• Responsible for organization of client files and physical condition of records management space, including interfiling, labeling, shelving, scanning, boxing, and shifting.
• Perform clerical tasks related to updating and maintaining client files in accordance with established records management policies and procedures.
• Research location of files and folders; interfile loose materials; create additional folders as needed and requested; create and update file indexes utilizing automated records management system.
• Find and correct labeling, filing, shelving, indexing, and other clerical errors in existing files; make appropriate changes on physical files and update records management system.
• Monitor shelf space needs; pull and box inactive files for off-site storage; recommend and carry out pull-and-shift projects.
• Must have the ability to consistently lift 50 pound boxes is required.
• Scan records center, offices, workstations, war rooms, and other decentralized file storage areas according to a predefined schedule every five weeks on a Saturday morning.
• Assist secretaries and other department personnel in locating misplaced documents and folders.
• Ensure firm protocol is being followed and assist with other tasks and projects as needed.

Office Services Clerk

ilzin Sumberg is seeking an Office Services clerk. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, proficient in MS Office and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a multi-task environment.  Prior office services experience in a law firm preferred.  The schedule for this position is 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Conflicts/Intake Analyst
November 07, 2022
Bilzin Sumberg is seeking a highly skilled individual to handle conflicts searching and reporting and client/matter intake. The duties include searching for potential conflicts in the firm's database, as well as organizing and interpreting search results. Responsibilities include handling large volumes of data, and preparing and proofreading data and reports. The position also entails communicating with attorneys in the firm in an effort to clear potential conflicts and obtaining information for client and matter opening. 

Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with MS Excel and familiarity with online research tools is required.  Experience with InTapp Open and Conflicts, Aderant Expert and iManage is preferred, but not required. Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and an ability to work under pressure are imperative. Major law firm experience preferred.
