Alexandra Haller is an Associate in Bilzin Sumberg's Corporate & Finance Group, where she represents private companies and private funds in formation and governance matters, M&A transactions, securities-related matters, and other strategic transactions. Alexandra lends a strong accounting background to her corporate work from her training as a Certified Public Accountant and from her auditing and investigatory work at major U.S. corporations and the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. She leverages this knowledge to provide clients with additional value on their corporate matters. Her broad experience covers matters in a diverse range of sectors, including software, healthcare, life sciences, e-commerce, renewable energy technology, and the aerospace industry, among others.

How has your training and professional experience outside of law helped your current practice?
My training as a Certified Public Accountant and prior experience in auditing has been enormously helpful in adding value to client matters because of the deep familiarity they gave me with the financial aspects that invariably form a part of the corporate matters that I work on. My proficiency in interpreting financial statements and my understanding of accounting and financial industry terminology and concepts rounds out my skill set to serve as a strategic advisor on client transactions.
How does your passion for practicing corporate law dovetail with adding value to client matters?
A main reason why I enjoy my practice is that each transaction that I work on is unique in its challenges and on the potential solutions that can be explored. Whether it’s the sale of an ownership stake in a rapidly growing life sciences company, or a securities offering by an established hospitality group, both the legal nuances and technical industry considerations vary widely from matter to matter. My enthusiasm for exposure to diverse issues as part of my day-to-day practice has contributed to deepening my familiarity with various industries that serves me well in engaging clients hailing from diverse sectors.
