GET TO KNOW Ed
For four decades, Ed has represented savings and loan associations, commercial banks, commercial mortgage servicers, real estate developers, individuals, title insurance companies and other financial services firms in connection with their real estate, mortgage lending, and title insurance examination and claims matters. Ed is extremely detail-oriented, which is critical when handling all aspects of commercial and residential real estate secured lending, the acquisition and sale of both undeveloped and improved land, the preparation of complex loan documentation, title examination and title insurance. Currently, Ed primarily assists special servicers of commercial mortgage-backed securities pools with various aspects of their multistate, multi-property loans.

Having represented financial services firms for 40 years, Ed understands the inter-relationship between the documents with which he works and the goals, desires and limitations of his clients. Experience working through numerous real estate cycles has given Ed the ability to spot issues that might negatively impact a client's long-term objectives, making him an invaluable resource for his clients and his colleagues.
Q & A
What is your client service philosophy?
I try to be as responsive as I possibly can to the needs of my clients. In most situations I can provide an expeditious and cost-effective solution to the problems that are presented to me.  I do my best to keep my clients fully informed of the status of their matters and the progress I am making in resolving the issues they have asked me to handle. I believe my clients come to me because they have a problem that needs a fast and correct remedy, which is something they have come to know I will provide.
Why should a client hire you?
I have experience doing a variety of real estate related lending transactions. I have title examination skills that have been lost to younger generations of lawyers due to their heavy reliance on title insurance, rather than title examination.  In my 40 years of experience I have seen many economic cycles, both good and bad, and I have gained a substantial amount of historical and institutional knowledge as a result.
