Union Bank of Florida

Representation of Union Bank of Florida in its acquisition by Colonial BancGroup, Inc., for $233 million. Prior to the acquisition, Union Bank had total consolidated assets of approximately $1 billion and was the 43rd largest insured depository institution in Florida, controlling deposits of approximately $686.7 million. After the acquisition, BancGroup became the eighth largest depository organization in Florida, controlling deposits of approximately $6.3 billion.
