Representation of one of the nation's largest homebuilders in fraud and breach of contract claim. Successfully obtained dismissal of plaintiff claim, which has since been amended and re-filed. Additionally, represented homebuilder in suit filed by homeowners alleging fraud to induce home sales. Obtained summary judgment on plaintiffs' principal claim. Also represented client in a suit filed by approximately seventy homeowners alleging fraud to induce home sales, and violations under Florida's Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA). Bilzin Sumberg obtained summary judgment on the plaintiffs' FDUTPA claim—their main claim—and also dismissed the claim for attorneys' fees. The initial demand in the case was over $7 million.
