Land use counsel to Variety Children's Hospital, a Florida non-profit corporation doing business as Miami Children's Hospital. We successfully assisted the hospital in obtaining land use and zoning approvals to permit a 25-year, $150 million redevelopment and expansion of the hospital's main campus located in Miami's Schenley Park neighborhood. The redevelopment program includes a vertical expansion of the hospital's treatment facilities, adding three stories to accommodate large single-occupancy patient rooms, additional lab space, and increased medical services. The approvals also permit construction of new areas, including a new emergency room, an additional on-site parking garage, a new energy center, and a new daycare facility.
