Successful Representation of National Homebuilder in Governmental Appeal Process

Representation of a national homebuilder in an appeal of jurisdictional determination issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers with respect to property located in South Florida. Advised on the creation and preservation of a jurisdictional record prior to development of the property and for the prosecution of the appeal through the ACOE's administrative appeal process. Favourable outcome for client in the form of the ACOE reversing its prior decision, which saved the client millions of dollars related to penalties and mitigation costs.
