Bilzin Sumberg Partner Mindy A. Mora Selected As 2009-2010 Secretary/Treasurer Of The Florida Bar Business Law Section
Miami, FL - Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP announced that Mindy A. Mora, Partner in the firm's Restructuring & Bankruptcy Group, was selected to serve as the 2009-2010 Secretary/Treasurer of The Florida Bar Business Law Section's Executive Council. With this appointment, Ms. Mora is also slated to serve as the 2010-2011 Chair Elect and 2011-2012 Chair of the Section.
As a member of the Executive Council, Ms. Mora will assist with the coordination and administration of all section activities, creation and administration of the section's budget and the planning and implementation of section meetings, among other responsibilities.
Ms. Mora focuses her practice on creditors' rights, workouts, bankruptcy and commercial loan transactions, counseling high visibility clients in many major bankruptcy cases and restructuring efforts, both nationally and in Florida. She has been active in the development of Florida's commercial laws, having chaired The Florida Bar Task Force that sponsored the 2007 revisions of the Assignment for the Benefit of Creditors Statute. Additionally, Ms. Mora has been actively involved in the Business Law Section for over 18 years, and regularly lectures at conferences and seminars on subjects including complex transaction and enforcement issues arising under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, bankruptcy issues and other continuing legal education topics.
