Anti-Defamation League to Present Scott L. Baena with 2016 Jurisprudence Award

Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP is proud to announce that Scott L. Baena has been honored with the 2016 Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation League.
Baena will receive the award on Thursday, Nov. 10 at the annual Miami Jurisprudence Award Luncheon at the JW Marriott Marquis.
"I am honored to have been selected for the prestigious Jurisprudence Award," Scott said. "As an attorney, I cannot think of a more important responsibility than to uphold ADL's principles and investing oneself in this community."
Along with being an accomplished bankruptcy trial and restructuring lawyer and playing a senior role in bankruptcy and restructuring matters handled by the Firm, Scott also oversees several firm-wide initiatives including client satisfaction, and business and professional development.
Among the pro bono work he leads for the Firm is the partnership that has been created with the Legal Services of Greater Miami, the largest provider of diverse civil legal assistance to the poor in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.
Throughout his career, Scott has been recognized throughout the community for his strong business acumen and leadership. He currently serves as a Board Member for Miami-based Continental National Bank and was elected in 2015 to the Greater Miami Jewish Federation Board of Directors.
The Jurisprudence Award was established to recognize individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the legal profession and to the community at large, while exemplifying the principles upon which the Anti-Defamation League was founded. Elizabeth F. Schwartz, ESQ is also being honored with the award at the luncheon.
Founded in 1913, the Anti-Defamation League is one of the nation’s premier human relations organizations, dedicated to combating anti-Semitism, bigotry and hatred, and to building positive intergroup relations.
