MIAMI, FL- Bilzin Sumberg congratulates Construction Law Partner, Kelly Ruane Melchiondo, on her appointment as Co-Chair of the Dade County Bar Association's Law and Technology Committee.
In her role, Kelly will support the Committee in dealing with issues involving technology and the law, aiming to simplify and suggest the latest applications and use to help in the practice of law.
As a Construction Law attorney, Kelly's practice focuses on complex construction litigation and products liability matters at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts. She is also a part of the Bilzin Sumberg's Data Security and Privacy Team and a Co-editor of the Privacy Portal Blog. Her Cybersecurity practice focuses on data breach prevention and response, including reporting to and interacting with state regulatory and law enforcement agencies tasked with enforcing state data privacy laws, and client counseling to strengthen internal data security controls.
The Dade County Bar Association (DCBA) is the largest lawyer network in Miami-Dade County and the largest voluntary bar association in Florida. The DCBA's goal is to support and inform the county's lawyers, as well as the public and community at large. They advocate for efforts to preserve the separation of powers of legislative bodies and our judicial system.
