Kelly Ruane Melchiondo is a Partner in Bilzin Sumberg's Construction Law and Litigation Group. Kelly’s practice focuses on complex construction litigation of claims involving construction and design defects, construction contract claims, and products liability matters at the trial and appellate levels in federal and state courts. As Co-Lead of Bilzin Sumberg’s Attorney Training Committee, Kelly strives to equip the firm’s lawyers with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to serve ever-evolving client needs and to succeed in their careers in the short and long term.

Kelly is also a member of the firm's Data Security & Privacy Team. Her cybersecurity and data privacy practice focuses on counseling clients on safeguarding their and consumers’ data and private information, drafting and implementing policies for data security and strengthening internal controls, assisting clients with data breach prevention and response including reporting to and interacting with federal and state regulatory and law enforcement agencies tasked with enforcing federal regulation and state data privacy laws. In 2018, 2021 and 2025, Kelly served on The Sedona Conference Working Team 11, Brainstorming Committee, which serves to discuss and reach consensus among representatives from the corporate, legal and governmental fields to develop workable policies for corporations, lawyers and courts to address emerging issues in data privacy and cybersecurity. The Sedona Conference is a non-profit organization dedicated to the advanced study of law and policy in the areas of complex litigation, intellectual property rights, and data privacy.
