Our Green Initiative

Bilzin Sumberg is committed to advancing a more sustainable future by embedding environmental responsibility into the fabric of its operations, culture, and community engagement. Recognizing the role we play in shaping responsible business practices, we approach sustainability as both an operational priority and a shared responsibility.

Housed in Miami’s first LEED Gold-certified office tower, our firm has launched an active Green Initiative, which includes attorneys and staff from across practices and departments working together to develop and implement strategies that promote eco-friendly practices across the organization. The Initiative’s areas of focus center around internal policy changes, firm engagement, and community outreach. Such efforts include evaluating sustainable procurement practices, reducing single-use paper and plastics, encouraging energy and water conservation, and increasing transparency around recycling and resource usage within the office environment.

Complementing these internal measures are educational campaigns and engagement initiatives—such as Earth Day programming, recycling awareness efforts, a guest speaker program, and firm-wide participation challenges—designed to empower individuals to make more sustainable choices both at work and at home.

Committed to preserving our pristine South Florida home, we extend our sustainability commitment into the broader community through partnerships, clean-up initiatives, and local engagement. Participation in beach and coastal clean-ups across South Florida has mobilized attorneys, staff, clients and their families in hands-on environmental stewardship.
