Defense of South Florida Stadium LLC and Miami Dolphins, Ltd. in an action brought by various residents and homeowners’ associations of Miami Gardens, Florida. Plaintiffs sought declaratory judgment and injunctive relief in an effort to prevent the annual Miami Formula One Grand Prix at Hard Rock Stadium from taking place in their municipality. Upon conclusion of state and federal court cases, the case was dismissed in its entirety. The inaugural race boosted the local economy by nearly $350 million, with economists predicting that the annual race will create over 4,000 new jobs.
