Going Beyond the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment

Most homebuilders know they should conduct a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment prior to purchasing land for residential development. A good Phase I report can uncover potential problems relating to a site’s use and history. As we discuss in this article in the Daily Business Review, in some circumstances, a Phase I may not be enough to apprise a prospective purchaser of hidden issues.
