Q & A
What are the challenges that attract you to corporate law?
The most challenging, and interesting, aspect of my practice is helping early stage companies with their planning with an eye towards their long-term success. For such promising young companies, the breadth of matters ranges from corporate governance to financing and private placements, and employment issues, among many others. Experiencing how all these moving parts come together to support a successful venture is fascinating and inspiring, but it also adds a level of complexity that requires skilled and prudent counsel.
Is there something unique to practicing corporate law at Bilzin Sumberg?
Based on my personal experience, and from the firm’s reputation in the market, Bilzin Sumberg excels at cross-collaboration across different areas of commercial law. This is important because the Corporate Group works on highly sophisticated matters that frequently go beyond strictly corporate matters. A client may approach with us a matter that requires corporate and tax counsel, while another may need us for a matter that involves corporate and real estate issues. Bilzin Sumberg’s emphasis on multidisciplinary collaboration across practice groups thus adds great value for clients with complex matters.
