Q & A
What makes the practice of construction law at Bilzin Sumberg unique?

Despite the recent influx of firms looking to expand into the South Florida market, Bilzin Sumberg remains in a league of its own. Bilzin Sumberg possesses the talent, resources, and industry reputation of a “white shoe” law firm, but also provides a boutique approach to client engagement that allows me to render the level of attention and care that each client deserves. Such a combination is a rarity among firms that house construction practices.

Furthermore, the firm’s Construction Law and Litigation Group has deep ties to the South Florida real estate development and construction communities. Our intimate knowledge of the local market and pertinent construction issues is unrivaled, giving us an advantage when helping clients navigate legal issues that are unique to South Florida.

What sets you apart from other attorneys practicing in your field?
When working on any matter, I always put myself in the client’s shoes. Regardless of the size of the legal issue, a lawsuit takes a tremendous emotional and financial toll on an individual. For many construction clients, the cases and issues that they bring to my team are, in that moment, the greatest challenges of their lives. Given the high stakes nature of these cases, I take pride in giving my clients the peace of mind that their legal issues will be handled by a team whose knowledge of the law is second to none, and more importantly, who genuinely cares. By taking the time to fully understand my client’s immediate needs, I can counsel them through their present challenges, while also being able to effectively advise them on longer-term issues.
