Q & A
What challenges get you most excited?
I actually enjoy handling complex matters in a time crunch environment. I like to wrap my head around complex, sophisticated deals and pressure myself to push through and execute for our clients.
How has Bilzin Sumberg's mentoring program been valuable to your growth as a lawyer?
It's all about raising associates to be great lawyers. I know this from personal experience. Everything I know as a lawyer is from the mentors who helped me grow when I was a junior associate. In turn, I always make myself available to junior associates who have questions or need help, because I understand how valuable that can be to someone's growth.
Representation of private real estate investment and asset management firm in connection with the acquisition and financing of six office and industrial properties throughout the state of Florida with a combined value of over $120 million. Handled joint venture agreements as required by the individual deals.
Representation of ITC Center Miami, LLC in the acquisition and financing of the Holiday Inn Downtown Miami. The transaction involved a complicated debt structure, a short term lease-back to the seller, and an extremely tight time frame to close. Our team secured the financing, which included negotiation of three separate loans with three different lenders, one of which was selected by our client days before closing.
