Representation of Related Urban Development Group as lead counsel in connection with Miami-Dade County’s pre-qualification Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process and subsequent Request for Proposals (RFP) process for the public/private redevelopment of a County-owned public housing site located in a Qualified Opportunity Zone in the City of South Miami. The project includes a new, 480-unit affordable housing development utilizing the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program. Handled navigation of both the administrative procurement processes and the legislative award process, which culminated in Related Urban’s selection as the winning proposer and the award of a 75-year ground lease by the Board of County Commissioners.
