Capacitor Antitrust Litigation for Major Opt-Out Plaintiffs

Electronics Component Distributors

Secured a $267 million verdict after a two week jury trial in favor of one of the largest electronic components distributors in the United States. While the trial defendants only accounted for a small portion of the client’s capacitor purchases, the trial team successfully argued that trial defendants and their co-conspirators knowingly conspired to manipulate prices for capacitors sold in the U.S. and purchased by the client. The victory represents the largest jury verdict for an antitrust opt-out plaintiff in US history, and is part of a wider representation of opt-out plaintiffs in the prosecution of federal antitrust price fixing claims against the major world-wide manufacturers of capacitors.
