Defense of Tiffany Hotel, LP, the developer of the Gale Hotel, a 96-room hotel located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in a dispute with the contractor. The contractor alleged that the developer failed to pay the final balance in breach of the construction agreement and, as a result, filed suit seeking payment and to enforce its construction lien. The developer countersued for breach of contract due to contractor delays which resulted in the failure to achieve timely completion of the project.
