Representation of prominent Miami developer in $21 million acquisition and financing of 1.1-acre parcel in Miami's financial district, which is now the location of Brickell Flatiron. Brickell Flatiron includes 552 residential units and 40,000 square feet of retail development, including restaurant, lounge and shop space. We assisted the developer with land use and zoning due diligence, including modifications to the existing code, and negotiations of relevant joint venture agreements.

Handled the sale of over 2,000 REOs, with aggregate purchase prices in the billions of dollars, through both the negotiation and closing of individual sales and the structuring and sale by auction of multiple properties. Analyzed cleanup strategies in order to resolve soil and contamination issues on homebuilder client’s property in Broward County, Florida. Negotiation with the Broward County Environmental Protection Division to obtain a restrictive covenant to allow for residential development on the property.
