Bilzin Sumberg
Development Conference
March 3, 2021

Felix X. Rodriguez and Joy Spillis Lundeen discuss the three alternatives for the design and construction of real estate that are increasingly utilized by the development community: Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Delegated Design. Going beyond discussing condominium developments, the panel covered the use of these methods for a wide range of assets, including multifamily residential, office buildings, retail, hotels, warehouses, industrial complexes, and sports and entertainment facilities, among others. Participants learned each method's distinctive characteristics, became familiar with its advantages and disadvantages, and were presented with insightful case studies in its deployment for South Florida’s development at Bilzin Sumberg’s South Florida Redevelopment Conference.
