Anthony De Yurre Honored with BASF Legislative Leadership Award
Miami, FL – Bilzin Sumberg is proud to announce that Land Development & Government Relations Partner Anthony De Yurre has been awarded the 2025 Legislative Leadership Award by the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF). The honor reflects Anthony's deep engagement with land use and zoning issues, housing policy and resilient urban development, core priorities of BASF's mission to advance a healthy, dynamic, and economically vibrant construction ecosystem.
Anthony focuses his practice on land use and zoning matters, legislative strategy, including matters related to Florida's Live Local Act, and development approvals for complex urban projects. He advises real estate developers and investors on transit-oriented development, adaptive reuse, and mixed-income and workforce housing projects. His work bridges legislative reform and practical implementation, aligning policy frameworks with regional needs for housing supply, infrastructure resiliency, and economic growth.
This recognition builds on Anthony's extensive civic and industry leadership. He serves on the Board of Governors of the Florida Chamber of Commerce and is a board member of The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County's official economic development partnership. Anthony is Vice-Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Workforce Housing Committee and serves on United Way Miami's Public Policy Committee and Center for Financial Stability Committee. He is also an active member of the Urban Land Institute, particularly as part of its Affordable Workforce Housing Council.
