"Bilzin has a superb roster who handled our work with care. They guide us through complicated transactions with relative ease."

Housing affordability concerns have prompted the public and private sectors to explore creative solutions, including bonuses and incentives. Recent legislative changes at the state, county, and municipal levels provide new opportunities for developers to increase the supply of workforce and affordable housing in both standalone and mixed-use projects.

Bilzin Sumberg's Affordable Housing & Tax Credit Practice works in tandem with our  real estate department, one of the largest  in South Florida, and our land development & government relations, tax, environmental and corporate attorneys to provide a one-stop-shop for workforce and affordable housing. We represent developers in a full range of services from project concept to finished product, including government procurement, lobbying, environmental due diligence, land use and zoning, tax credit equity and tax-exempt bond closings, and construction. Our team has vast experience with complex real estate financing, including transactions financed with low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds, grants, and loans issued by federal, state, and local governmental authorities.
